The Exoskeleton Shroud is an available upgrade for all of Innovative Arms  5.56 and 7.62 silencers. Instead of internal reinforcement of the silencers blast chamber, the Exoskeleton is designed as a permanent attachment to externally reinforce the blast chamber. This allows for more internal volume for sound suppression.  The Exoskeleton acts as a heat sink to accelerate cool down of the silencer after firing. An added benefit of the Exoskeleton is greater purchase when mounting the silencer to the host weapon in the field.
