Pre-fit replacement Savage barrels are pre-threaded and ready to install on your Savage 10/110 or Savage Axis.  If you have a Savage rifle, can follow directions, and can use a wrench, you can remove and install a new Savage barrel without a gunsmith.  One of the best resources for Savage rifles can be found at www.savageshooters.com.  To properly install a barrel you will need a barrel wrench and headspace gauges for your caliber.  Currently we offer ER Shaw Savage replacement barrels as well as McGowen Savage barrels.  Most of our customers are extremely happy with ER Shaw barrels considering cost vs performance.  However, McGowen Precision Savage barrels do have a reputation for excellent accuracy and are popular favorite in long range competition shooting.  The Savage pre-fit barrels you see listed are in stock and ready to ship.
